Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve
A small Manukau beach at the bottom of a bush reserve, with a jetty to jump off at high tide.

A sheltered pocket of sand with picnic tables under the pōhutukawa. More shade than a beach this size has any right to. The jetty is the main event for anyone over about eight. It's sheltered from the westerly, so it works when the open coast doesn't.
