Cornwallis Beach
A calm, shallow Manukau bay with an old timber wharf and deep pōhutukawa shade.

No surf at all. That makes it one of the gentler beaches for small kids on this coast. The long wharf is the local jumping platform at high tide, and the pōhutukawa give proper shade. Locals reckon it's heaven on a fine weekday and best avoided at weekends. The Jubilee Walk off the end is easy enough for toddlers.
