Hunua Falls
A tall waterfall dropping over an old volcanic plug into a dark pool.
The falls are the destination, with picnic areas at the base and serious tramping tracks heading on into the Hunua Ranges. The pool below looks inviting and has a bad safety record, so treat it as something to look at rather than swim in. The tracks beyond the falls are long and properly steep.
