Mount Albert Domain (Ōwairaka)
Sports fields and a playground round the bottom, a quiet cone and a wide western view at the top.
Most people come for the courts and the fields and never go up. They should. The climb is short and the summit looks west over the Waitākeres, which is the whole reason to bother. It's grass underfoot most of the way, so give it a day or two after heavy rain.
