Ōakley Creek Walkway (Te Auaunga)
A genuine waterfall inside the city, ten minutes off Great North Road.

A bush walkway following Auckland's longest urban stream, past a basalt waterfall about six metres high and the ruins of an old mill. It doesn't feel like a suburb once you're down in it. The creek turns into something serious after heavy rain. The track is uneven and there are steps to the falls, so it's no good with a buggy.
