Sanders Reserve
A large fully fenced dog paddock, which is the rare thing here and worth the drive.
A big rural feeling reserve above the upper harbour with a genuinely secure off leash enclosure. A fenced paddock this size is hard to find anywhere in Auckland, which is why people come from across the Shore for it. Beyond the fence there's forestry, bridle trails and mountain bike track, all shared, so dogs go back on the lead. Eels live in the stream.
