Auckland's first regional park, with a sheltered beach between two rivers, a historic homestead and bush walks climbing to a lookout. The pōhutukawa are why people come back, giving proper shade over the picnic lawn. Kererū crash about in the canopy overhead. It was given back the name Maungatauhoro in 2026.
